It's obvious who of the four I personally would like to bring home the title but I wanted to make the message title neutral at least (I put the four teams in alphabetical order). So, any of my fellow Kentucky fans such as frankhardy here? How about any Connecticut, Florida, Wisconsin fans (or even better, current or former students like myself)? Perhaps people here are still in their local "office pool" who didn't get their bracket busted TOO MUCH and might still win whatever prize is up for grabs?

Everyone here knows by now how I hope it goes, but how about the rest of you?

He just admitted that he's getting tweets about being so biased and said "Yea I'm biased. I'm a Wildcat."

How it works is, you get neutral coverage on TBS, UK commentators on TNT, and WI commentators on TruTV. I think that is a NEAT idea I might add.

As I already mentioned in the topic at the Sports Cards forum regarding me and my wife's coincidences, Rex Chapman is a guest commentator for tonight's NCAA Final Four game...it just so happens he went to HS in my hometown (for my rival HS though), played a couple of seasons for UK, and at the time (I was 6-8 years old at the time) I was a HUGE fan of his! Why is that important? Well, remember how we were married on June 17? Well his points per game average was 17.6, our anniversary in reverse! And if you add the four digits in his averages in rebounds (2.6) and assists (3.6) at KY they add up to 17!! I heard it said KY is a team of destiny well so are we!

Meanwhile, we're down four at intermission but I bet we're just setting them up for the second half!

Not to sound like a smart ass, but that giant blue "UK TELECAST" logo in the top right corner should've given you a clue

We convert the "extra point" we'll be up a touchdown (7)! I knew we were just setting 'em up! We still gotta hold 'em off for 15 more minutes...don't stop while we're hot, Cats!

EDIT: Now down two with 7:26 to go...so much for "don't stop while we're hot" Still plenty of time though...

EDIT: Just under four minutes down two...certainly an exciting game that's for sure! But on this big stage we should expect no less.

EDIT: Up one with 5.7 seconds to go after we ESCAPE a HUGE three point shooter foul blunder...can we once again hold them off?

EDIT: WE DID IT!!! We escaped that foul blunder and a pretty decent last second shot attempt to "win the pennant" (as I like to call it) and we go for the gold Monday night! Let's do it, Cats!

Well they get full ride scholarships anyway (unless you're an Ivy Leaguer...they don't do athletic scholarships) but seriously, to get to wear a Kentucky jersey and help your team win a championship (or at least a Final Four appearance) is an experience you just can't put a price tag on. To be able to come back to Rupp and see that giant blue banner and possibly your jersey in the rafters I mean...wow. That's not something even ten million dollars could buy.

Thanks! This is so exciting...2012 was fantastic enough but we were expected to win the gold that year...but this year is different...we were left for dead a month ago and now come Monday night we get to go for the gold!

LOL. It's a Kentucky thing. Nobody in the rest of the country cares or will think of your team as that nickname win or lose. Other than Michigan's Fab 5 I can't think of a nickname college basketball for a team. All the finds you list are just in Kentucky. As for the Fab 5 you list from 1948 that's not the Fab 5. If you google fab 5 it's all about Michigan. In fact, very few teams really have a nickname that survives and becomes a part of the event. The "We are family Pirates" being one exception that comes to mind besides the Fab 5 at Michigan.

Don't forget the "Cardiac Kids" of 1983 North Carolina State. That's why I don't think it'd be right for us to call this team the Cardiac Cats just like I didn't like Michigan stealing the Fab Five name. Fair is fair, no? For our 1948 team they were called the Fabulous Five or just Fab Five for short.

Less than an hour till showtime (or is that HBO or Cinemax? ). And silly me, I almost forgot to tell you guys my prediction for tonight's big game

EDIT: We're down 11 for now (7:20ish left in the first half) but we've dealt with deficits like that before. Still PLENTY of b-ball left to go folks.
EDIT: 5:20ish and we quickly go from 15 to 10 down! I knew we'd get those timely baskets.
EDIT: 2:24 and now only down a touchdown...I knew we'd get a run going...let's keep going Cats!

Okay folks, as if we haven't had this before, we're down four at intermission (after being down as much as fifteen!)...but just like before, the important thing for now is to at least keep it close. Let's go get 'em in the second half guys!

EDIT: Nine minutes to go and though we're still down three...
EDIT: 3:47 and we can again cut it to three with a free throw...we just gotta get ahead of them at just the right moment...UConn wanted to put us away but we don't go down that easy!
EDIT: 54.1 to go and still down four...it's not over yet, anything can happen!
