Pencil marks on the back of a card, or eraser marks on the back of a card?
What do some subtle eraser marks (only visable under a bright light) do for the overall condition of a card? Would this still get a MK?

To my experience, a light subtle pencil mark or a heavy obvious sharpie mark both get you MK. Light eraser marks from erasing light pencil gets you no grade / altered. If it is staying in my personal collection, I'd rather see light eraser marks than pencil marks. I wish they would allow evidence of former writing that had been erased to be graded with a (MK) qualifier but they won't do that since they feel it contributes to altering for the sake of deceit and hiding defects. To me, it isn't the same as trying to re-color a border ding, but that's not how the grading rules see it.
