April 12th, 1976.....we got all amped up for a trip to the ballpark while dark clouds hovered overhead. by the time we arrived, it had started to rain. my sister cried and i fumed. they called off the game.

my Dad took us home and wound up giving the rainchecks to friends. image

I was a Soph. in college at Mich. St. and my friends and I decided to go to Wrigley to catch opening day. Cubs played the Pirates and it snowed on the entire drive there. I figured that the game would get called, but as soon as we got into sight of Wrigley the snow stopped and the sun came out. It was 29 degrees at game time and for some reason I was in the midst of a no sock phase in my life. There was a guy sitting in front of us who was wearing a pair of socks on his hands, so I bought them for $20 to keep from toe frostbite.

In a more recent story, I decided to go to opening day in Atlanta in 2010 against the Cubs. Hank Aaron threw the first pitch to Jason Heyward as a kind of "passing of the torch" type moment and Heyward hits a home run off Carlos Zambrano in his first major league at bat. Cool memory and great thread!

Would anyone be interesting in buying one of these Dodgers Grand opening day tickets?
    I've got 3 more from the same collection. seats 116 118 119

There arent a lot of past sales on these tickets as they are rare.
However one did go on ebay in 2012 I believe for $225.
    eBay reference

I'd welcome any reasonable offers from fellow Dodgers fans/collectors.

I'll post this on the BST forum but wanted to put it out here on the original thread.
