Sucks when you lose an auction by 55 cents

Like I just did!

No, it was only by the .55. Otherwise the bid would have gone to the next increment.

Snipe higher next time. I never snipe for an even dollar amount.

The snipe amount wasn't the problem, Bobby. It was well in excess of previous sales. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.

I won a card last week by 13 cents.

Pays to bid using all the decimal points.

That was me -- my exact snipe to the penny image

I've been looking for a nice example of that card for quite a while -- it sold for about $100 more than I had hoped -- but still very pleased to have it.

I'll keep an eye out for you.

Welcome to the club. I once lost one by a stinking nickel. Moral: If it is a card you really want, just set a higher bid.
