shut up and just cheer politely because they aren't part of what is happening. JMHO.

Dan ... Estil is one of the biggest Kentucky fans that I have ever met. Yes, he sometimes says things that a lot of us may disagree with, biut I say let him enjoy HIS Wildcats going to the Final Four. Congrats once again to Estil and the young Kentucky team.

Well the ones who "jumped off the bandwagon" were just plain stupid. Do they not watch the damn tournament and see how many giant upsets happen EVERY SINGLE YEAR? Yeah we lost three out of our last four regular season games...I certainly knew the odds were not in our favor at all...but it's not over till we lose in the Big Dance. We had to win four in a row to make the big stage just like all the other guys and we came just four points short of a 8/9 over a one upset against Kansas in 2007 (Tubby's last year) so why COULDN'T we come back and get it done? And when we came within a literal last play slip up of knocking out the #1 team in the country in the SEC Tournament final (after we saw how much trouble the Gators were having with TN no doubt), I (and I'm sure our guys) knew that if we could go the distance like that against the #1 team in the country we could beat anyone. And no doubt we will be more than happy to get another crack at those Gators in the final (once we first make fur coats out of the Badgers of course)...as I've said before UK/Florida is kinda like Yankees/Red Sox in the SEC.

Remember folks, my wife is from Greater Boston and remember how a mere ten years ago her Red Sox were left for dead after being down three games to none (and ironically, we Cats were on the WRONG side of the same 8/9 over a one seed upset we achieved this year)? Now seeing as how only two teams (1998 Braves, 1999 Mets) even made it back to a Game 6 they had every reason to be like Charlie-In-The-Box and stuff themselves back in and start dreaming about next year. But look what happened because they didn't quit. And now, look what happened to our boys because THEY didn't quit. We had to knock out an undefeated team in the NCAA's for the second time in school history (1975 against Clown U was the first), then our rivals who won the gold last year, then we had to beat the team who won silver last year (and as a bonus got back at them for what their Fake Five did to us in 1993).

You guys have no idea how happy both me and my wife are. I am so very very proud of our guys for not giving up even though most everyone left us for dead. It's not like most years we made the Final Four where we were expected to get at least this far...we really had to earn this giant blue banner the hard way.

But we're not done yet folks! Let's go for the gold Cats! It only takes two more!

I am a huge college football and basketball fan. However, I really have a rough time routing for coaches and teams that, I believe, make a mockery of recruiting. Currently Kentucky has 9 Mcdonald All-Americans on their team and 4 more coming next year. Even as a big fan, you would have to admit that sounds a little weird. Calipari has cheated in both of his prior two college jobs. This is documented. When he went to the pros, he sucked.

Most these great college coaches, who tried the pros and came back to college and dominated are usually up to no good. Pete Carroll, Rick Pitino, John Calpari, Nick Saban (he left his alma matar michigan st to go to lsu, that should tell you something about the SEC).

Congrats, but with that team, im pretty sure i could get them to the tournament and i have never coached a day in my life. not a duke fan, but coach seems to do it the right way. calipari, not so much.

The NCAA cleared him in both cases (and I don't think he was even formally accused of anything, much less convicted). You're gonna have to make a better case than merely "he was there both times so..."

And we get more than our fair share of McD's All-Americans and so on most every year. That's true for any major college football or b-ball program.

As for your claim (and that's all it is, like your accusations against Cal, a CLAIM) that college coaches who come back from the pros are up to no good has no basis in fact. The better explaination is the fact that NBA basketball and NCAA basketball are very different and as Pitino (before he became Benerick) found out the hard way in Boston (even when he brought some of our UK guys with him) and also what Tim Tebow also found out...what works in college might not necessarily work in the big leagues. So at least in Benerick's case, while I'm not happy he turned traitor on us (but you gotta admit that Benerick name is super cute, no?) he just went back to what he knew best...the college game. And perhaps that's why Billy Donovan several years back got last second cold feet regarding coaching the Magic? I don't even want to know what was going through his head during that time period...I really don't...

there are 24 per year. so in a 4 year span they have got 16 out of 96 total McDonald all-americans. Does this really look make sense? Not one of the six from last year lived within 12 hours driving time to Lexington, KY. Not one. And the state of Kentucky isn't exactly a place where a lot of inner city kids go to live.

I know you are a fan, maybe it's hard to see the facts, but these facts make little sense, if everything is on the up and up. If you concede that "everybody" is cheating, do you really derive satisfaction out of being a beater cheater than everyone or would you rather win and do things right? I could probably beat everyone on this board at sports trivia, if I can use a phone or computer and nobody else can, but does that really mean I'm better at sports trivia than everyone else?

I never said anyone is cheating (Cal has never been convicted or even formally accused of any NCAA violations...DEAL WITH IT), and blue chip prospects come from all over the country and are courted by most all the big names (especially if they play a position that school is especially itching for)...what's your point?

or maybe it's just another weapon in the school's recruiting kit. "Son, statistics prove this: if you come to Kentucky/Duke/North Carolina/etc, you have a better shot at reaching the next level. We are better funded, better equipped, better coached, have world-class facilities, etc."

Thanks so much to you and all the others who have congratulated me and our boys for making it this far. It's no fun to be attacked by cheater Cal trolls (go to the NintendoAge forum and see how much worse they let me have it over at their "Everything Else section") but I'm glad there are some here who do show some class and don't act like an 'ass.
