1959 White Sox ball signed by the team

A little background, I've had this ball on my mantle for over a decade (it was my grandfathers so I kept it around to remember him) but I never really looked into its history. This weekend I finally got around to deciphering the signatures, which was a pain in the rear, and googled the players to determine the team. I found out it is signed by White Sox players, which makes sense because my grand dad lived in Chicago, containing 20-odd autographs. The "big names" I can find are Fox, Wynn, Lopez. I believe it is from 1959 because one signature is from Rudy Arias who according to the roster only played in the Majors for one year (1959). I am aware there are facsimiles out there and Im trying to use my best guess before forking over $100+ for JSA authentication. From what I can tell facsimile/stamped balls had no overlap to the autographs and they were placed in a disordered fashion instead of stacked on each panel. My ball has several overlapped signatures, they are all stacked, and several are in different color pen. Anyways here are a few pictures, my question: would it be worth authentication? Also, Id like to move it from the current case to a square one. Should I handle it with gloves to avoid hand oils? Thanks guys.

If you're going to sell it, get it authenticated. If not, don't.

no need for gloves to handle it....just handle it by using your fingertips on the laces & keep it out of direct light
