New Fritsch catalog prices

Wow they really went up from the Christmas catalog. The 75' cello & vending are now $4200--think it was 3300 cello & 2450 vending in the last catalog.

Your best bet is to bid in the @collect auctions if you want their unopened. From what others have said, they aren't really interested in selling unopened out of their catalog anyhow. I bet if you called them offering even the inflated prices they now show, they'd mysteriously be out of stock.

Interesting. Thanks, Gem. I've seen similar stuff on these forums. I guess they're prices are "flexible". I was seriously considering a 75' vending box when it was $1450 about a year ago. Would be for investment purposes only, but got scared off from serious centering issue stories from this forum. The 80' vending is still $245. Does that mean if I send a bank check for that amount + S/H they won't honor? Crazy.

I also inquired about the vending but it was bumped up $100 than listed and they only had a couple. I figured it would go up in price but not two fold with the centering issues.

I don't even understand why they bother with the expense of printing and mailing a catlogue in which many of the more appealing items are not even really available, or only partially so, or only at a higher price than listed. Ridiculous.

A serious question, is this mail fraud? I haven't received a catalog but is this unethical?
