This just showed up and although it isn't the sort of thing I collect it was just too, too cool to pass up. The seller had ID'd it as a British Sovereign but my quick research says that it's actually an English Crown struck c.1526 during the reign of Henry VIII. Struck in 22kt it weighs 3.7 gr. with a diameter of 26mm at the widest point since the planchet is a bit irregular. It is bright and close to the pictures in color with a little verdigris/dirt as seen and the two faint scratches on the reverse. Overall it's very easy to look at and we grade it VF.
Please PM any interest, we're asking $3,750 shipped registered USPS. Thanks and enjoy.
