Really nice eBay message

When I buy raw cards on eBay, I tend to expect the quality to be lower than advertised. However, when I sell, I strive to be as accurate and forthright as possible. I received this message today regarding a lot of 160 different 1975 Topps minis that I just sold:

"Just want to say... I got the cards today and they are awesome! I've bought cards (from others) on eBay where they're described as 'Nm Mint', and when you get the shipment, you see problems/imperfections, the photos don't tell the whole story... but these cards I got from you... shoot, I swear I could smell the gum!!!

Near perfect lot... these are keepers! Needless to say, 5-star perfect feedback was left."

This really made my day!

Nice message Daniel. You just made yourself a customer for life. image

I also agree totally with your buying and selling philosophy. Now if only you were a Mets fan. image

It's awesome when eBayers take the time to recognize accurate descriptions and great service. Well done!

ETA: That reminds me, I need to send a note of congratulations on a recent purchase.

That's really cool and certainly a welcome change from all the "doom and gloom" eBay posts we have seen lately. Nice job. image

If we did, we wouldn't have anyone left to hate. Well actually, there's always the Phillies image

I am glad you got that response.Too many sellers hide the true facts or just plain do not know how to grade.

Many years ago I sold a book to a Doctor through the mail. It was a gift from him to his daughter. The price was only $15 plus shipping. He was so happy with the description/condition and with her joy in receiving the book, he sent me a check for an additional $15. Still got the letter of praise. So "miracles" still do happen and it's situations like this that keeps your hopes up.
