This is big news in the Currency Collecting ..... 1864 $1000 National Banknote Charter 1 New York NY Proof has been found on Long Island NY, It has come up at a local auction. It is believed that this not is non existent. Weiss Auctions is having an annual Coin & Stamp auction on 05/29 in Lynbrook NY and it's being sold along with a Morgan Dollar steel Proof Die and another proof note from the same period.
