More interesting useless Set Registry statistics

In followup to the last post, I went through and added up the total percentages of sets registered. For example, a number of 5.00 means the number of cards registered is equivalent to 5 full sets. If you multiply by the number of cards in the set, you would get the number of cards registered. I rounded the total to 1%, and it is certainly possible that in all of the calculations done, there is at least 1 error. Here are the numbers

1969------4.21
1970------2.98

The 60's and 70's are coming on strong, and I don't think it will be long before the 60's are higher than the 50's, with the 70's not far behind.

these are not useless stats.
Quite interesting really.
I agree with wayne, you just were elected our offcial statistician
Congratulations!
In 1965, there are enough cards registered to make 4.87 sets. How many total cards have been graded in 1965, and what is the percentage that is in the registry.
If you are looking for another project, I'd love to know the answer (but am too lazy to do the work myself )
Thanks again

psa1965-- That is also the stat I would like to see. All it would take is to pull the pop reports fro each year. Of course, that would take some time, as it takes a while on my computer at least to load a pop report. And by the time we do it, all numbers would change.
I agree that the stats are very interesting. But useful?? The stats and $3 will get a cup of Starbucks, as they say.
What we need is for someone at the registry to post all kinds of stats. They have all of the info on their computer, and could feed it into several formulas that we all could follow. It is way too time consuming and prone to inaccuracy to pull all of this data off by hand and rework it. Are you listening BJ? What type of stats would people like to see on a regular basis?
All they need is one line like - Today there are 1454 sets registered by 115 collectors totaling 675,234 cards.
