Feeling a bit nervous about this one. Suspicious broken holder...

In 2011 my wife bought me a Sanella Babe Ruth in an oversized SGC holder for my birthday. Today, it fell off the shelve and broke open. Needless to say I wasn't happy. It was my own fault, but I still wasn't happy. When I picked up the pieces, I noticed that there was no gold sticker on the back with the SGC logo like all my other SGC holders. There was, however, on the back the SGC logo molded into the plastic holder.

My question is this, has SGC ever NOT put their gold label on the back of a holder? I'm thinking that this might be an early edition, but didn't know. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Just checked the few SGCs I have and there are variations of the gold label, but all of mine have one.

The oversized SGC labels are the worst! From my experience, you can pull 9 out of 10 of them apart with little to no effort.

Nah, no big deal. I've got SGC graded cards with the gold label, and without gold label BUT with Sportscard Guarantee LLC molded on the back. The ones with the gold label on the back are older SGC cases.
