Never seen this before. Why use the PSA boards anymore? Just put up an item for auction and you have your own space in the description for rants! What's the world coming to? 1968 1963 Mickey Mantle ***PSA 8 ERROR*** PSA Slam
Tallulah Bankhead — 'There have been only two geniuses in the world. Willie Mays and Willie Shakespeare.'

Currently collecting 1934 Butterfinger, 1969 Nabisco, 1991 Topps Desert Shield (in PSA 9 or 10), and 1990 Donruss Learning Series (in PSA 10).
Read the description closely and you'll understand.

<< <i>Many were absolutely flawless and came back as PSA 5's!! >>
Looks like someone is not very good at spotting small wrinkles.
<< <i>He has an offer on the card! >>
I've come to the conclusion ANYTHING on eBay can draw a bid from just about ANYONE.
Do you like working for BGS and would you recommend it to others as a great place to work?

Why are you surprised? Error on the label or not, it's still worth $80+. The offer is likely $100 or less.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.
Chances are there is a NM-MT 1968 Topps AL Batting Leaders card sitting in a "1963 Topps AL Batting Leaders PSA 5" holder somewhere..

I'd just like to see his reaction when Beckett comes back and gives similar grades.

They will probably bump but sell for less.
<< <i>I see these sort of things way too often. Everyone thinks they are a grading expert... When you explain that they are over-grading their cards, they argue with you. When they send them in and they come back as you warned, the grading company if corrupt. When someone else gets good grades and the cards "look just like" theirs', they must be paying off the graders. Some people just assume that they know everything, but prove that they know nothing! >>
Maybe they're the old school dealers. Remember, they were the ones who would pay you for cards based on them deeming them VG and then turn around and market them as NM-MT.

Reminds me of the old George Carlin skit about their crap being gold and everyone else's gold being crap...
<< <i>Well, if he ranted here, he would be banned, so that explains that one. Some of his rant has merit, other parts do not. >>

With the tilt and maybe a touched corner a 9 (OC) might have been a gift.

A bit OT, but also has a bit of relevance....I was at a small, local coin show a couple of years ago. There were only about 30 tables and it was at a community center so the room wasn't all that big. I'm in the back of the room looking at a dealer's stuff when some dealer nearby declares loud enough for the whole room to hear, "I can grade. People bring their coins to ME because I KNOW HOW TO GRADE!".
That coin dealer came to mind when I read this thread.
