Bbce gold card question....fake?

I can buy a wax box that is sealed with the old bbce gold card or sticker on the bottom. First, is it a loose card or a sticker? Second, in pictures it looks sealed with plastic with the bbce card on the bottom. Oh, also if it's a sticker, is it placed on the box or on the plastic?

My question is how hard is it for them to have opened the box, perhaps searched it and resealed it and replaced the bbce card? Or can I be pretty confident it's legit?

Ex...if it's a sticker on the boxes' bottom, I would think it's pretty easy for them to have resealed the entire box. Same as if it's a loose bbce card.
Or should I pass on it?

Thanks

Can you post the pictures on here?? Does the wrap have the BBCE logo on it?? I am not sure if they have done that since the beginning, but the box I bought has their logo on the cellophane wrap.

morning! when BBCE 1st started wrapping their product they shrink wrapped it and put a business card inside before they did.

They changed to the sticker version on the outside of the shrink wrap after someone opened, searched, and then re-shrink wrapped a box with the same business card. We did a group rip with one of the older boxes--shrink wrapped with the business card version--and it was clear that the box had been opened, searched and then re-sealed.

I think this was when Steve realized there may be a way to search those boxes and re-seal them. So they started to use the sticker on the outside of the shrink wrap.

Maybe a year ago or so they came up with the logo on their shrink wrap.

Manny is correct. All boxes were shrinkwrapped with the gold business card by Steve for years before he started using the sticker. The 1978 and 1980 wax boxes I still have from the wax case group rips we had here years ago were wrapped that way.

Thx for the info. I decided to pass because of it in addition to the price being on the high side. So risk to reward not worth it.

Again, this is in part exactly what this board is for..exchange of info and knowledge to help each other.
