Stopped at a coin shop and bought some cards

So for the past 2 years I've been regularly driving by a sign that said Coins & Collectibles. I'm not much of a coin guy, but I do love me some Collectibles. So today I stopped in. To my surprise he had some 70s-90 unopened, though all of the 70s and most of the 80s was non-sports and a bit high. He also had some assorted sets. The one I noticed most was 86 Football priced at $60. I asked whataya gotta have for this. He says 35 if you buy it today otherwise I'll look it up on eBay and reprice it. I casually set it aside, as at that price I'll roll the dice. Also grabbed an 83 Fleer Football box and a Hulk Hogan Bank. Out the door for $55, and he said he has more 70s-80s unopened and sets that he'll bring in for me. I'm not holding my breath, but who knows.

I don't think any of the star RCs are better than a 7 but it was worth the gamble.

$10 for 83 wax. I don't care that it's Fleer. It'll fit in collection just fine.

For $10 in original packaging, even if it is a bit beat, seemed fair.

Very nice score, Jim! Hard to go wrong when you got the lot at the price you did.

If they have more Fleer football boxes that you aren't interested in yourself, shoot me a PM... I'll even pay a finder's fee! image

Great finds. Love these discovery stories. This is why I never resist stopping into any coin/card/collectable shop, much to the aggravation of my girl. Have made many purchases of items that I found highly collectable in these places. Places you'd think would not have the type of things that one collects.
