You MUST refund item no matter what, right?

An Ebayer opened a "not as described" case against me today.

What was the description? That this was a PSA 8 _______ rookie. What did I send? That same PSA 8 _____ rookie.

So it was exactly what I described, but I have to do accept the return no matter what, right?

I'm fine with it, I'm going to refund no matter what, just curious...

If you really want to push the issue, eBay has noted PSA, Beckett and SGC as recognized TPG's and technically, an item graded by them, pictured and described with a return policy stating "no returns on TPG cards" has won when an "item not as described" case has been initiated. Just point out that it is not uncommon for buyers to purchase "on approval" to inspect for a "bump" and return if they do not feel they can get a better grade (technically, the item is as described, but the buyer wants it 'better than described') you might sway the representative handling the case.

I wouldn't bother fighting it. Just accept the return and relist the card. Not worth the hassle, imo.

Agreed. It's a card that will sell again for the same price, and I don't want the neg. I always offer returns no matter what, it's just frustrating with shifty Ebayers sometimes.
  • Please post the buyers ID so I can add him to a list.
From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

Agree 100%. Even worse are those who want a partial refund because the slab has a scratch or scuff on it. Please.

As an FYI, under the new ebay seller rules per the Spring Update, this return will be a strike against your Top Rated status in the future.

+1 When you sell high volume of graded cards it's amazing to find out how many have imperfections, per the buyer
