Is it me, or can all you other Kobe fans hear a needle drop!? Why? Because it's SO QUIET! Kobe comes through AGAIN! Where are all the haters??? I love it! Kobe Bryant comes through in back to back games basically putting the Lakers on his back and guiding them to the victory, especially in Game 4 where he hits the game winning shot. He's definitely the new "Mr. Clutch"!

This series is full of defining moments. Kobe has single-handedly taken us out of this series. He is, without a shadow of a doubt, quickly becoming the one of the best players to play the game. Ever. He is as cold as ice. I simply refuse to watch game 5, as my blood pressure just cannot take anymore of this.
How many times are we going to leave Horry open before we realize this guy can shoot from behind the arc? I mean Good lawd!

bill walton knew what was going to happen. Steve snapper jones knew kobe was off, but also knew that meant nothing down the strecth. He kept saying that kobes final field goal is all thats gonna matter even if he's 5-100. Duncan needs to be selfish, he needs that I don't care if I missed the last 8 shots mentality......he needs to say "GIVE ME THE BALL"and have the confidence that it's going to go in no matter what AT THE END.
That's what seperates good players from great players.

Before those 3's he miss 7 shots. And he tried to get fancy in the end when clutch time came and almost cost the game again. Derek Fisher saved him by hustling to the ball before it got to half court (backcourt violation). Kobe redeemed himself with the putback, but he almost costed the game again. If Fisher wasn't there with the heads up play, Lakers probably would have lost the game. It's coming to the point that Lakers need to keep the ball OUT of Kobe's hands at the end. He always tries to get tooooo fancy and messes up.

Correct me if I'm wrong.. now I must be seeing things, but I could have swore at that "clutch" moment, Kobe tried to do a crossover and lost control of the ball. Derek Fisher hustled to it to keep it from going back court (back court) violation..
Did that happen, or am I crazy? And if Fisher didn't get that ball, it would have been Spurs possession with the last shot.

Because reporters are biased. Just like the Yankees and Lakers get the most exposure because they have the most money (largest salary cap/market value). Just like when the reporters tell only the good about people they make role models and do the complete opposite with people they really don't care about and who isn't "media friendly" (Mark McGwire vs. Barry Bonds comes to mind). Another example, why didn't the media make a big deal when Ray Allen hit those 10 3-pointers in a game which was 1 from the record? I guarentee it would been all over the papers if he did it in a Lakers uniform. Media reports one side of the story. I see both sides which is why I said Kobe almost lost the game in clutch time, but redeemed himself on that putback. That's what happen as you just stated "of course that happened".

What's your point? Doesn't matter if Wall Street Journal wrote it. I watched the game for myself. Don't need a reporter to tell me what went on in the game. That's like you can watch a game and a player goes 8-20, but all of his 8 shots were nasty dunks. What do you think you would hear about on ESPN? You would think that player dominated the game with those 8 power dunks, but in reality, he sucked in the game.
