This is a lead uniface die trial by George Morgan. It was lot 1159 in the 2002 Michigan State Numismatic Society's 46th Spring Convention auction. Who is this a medal of and are there finished versions of this medal?

It sure looks familiar, but I cannot quite place it. I also suspect you mean lot 1161.

I may be jumping to a premature conclusion, but I believe that is a self portrait of George Morgan. This medal die trial also went unsold & unattributed in Stack's 2011 Americana sale. Described by Stack's cataloger as circa 1912.
