77' OPC Baseball Pack Rip (Update: Munson card just back from PSA)

I have this 1977 OPC baseball pack that was recently rejected for grading by PSA recently, I decided to rip it, as I have some additional packs with HOF's showing or that have been graded. This pack had the former Pirate Al Oliver face out on the back:

Even though these 2 cards are OC, it is always nice to pull a Munson and a Brett:

This the first 1977 OPC pack that I have ripped, so it was fun. I love the rough cuts!!

As a side note, I pray that CPAMike is not going into convulsions at the site of this. Don't worry, I won't be ripping my other 77 OPC.

Yeah, That is a great looking Munson. That card is a PIA to find centered even remotely well.
I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid.

Nice card John. Tough card to get in a 9 holder

Looks great in the holder. I'm guessing the notch on top left is only thing keeping it from a 9.

    Thanks,

I was just wondering about peoples opinions to the difference of an 8(NQ) compared to a 9OC.
In certain instances I prefer a 9OC, even though I think it doesn't rate as high in the Set Registry.

PS I know thats not what this thread is about, but it is a perfect example.
Would you have minded a 9OC?

A 9OC is the technical equivalent of a straight 7, so I'd prefer the straight 8 anytime. As for whether a 9OC is preferrable to a 7? The 9OC usually commands the higher price.
