1969 Willie Mays...so disappointing

Was really excited to see this one ending tonight...then I saw the reverse. Looks really sharp otherwise.

    Could that be a product of the scan? Usually PWCC scans make the card look a lot better than it is but who knows?

    Well, the tilt is no surprise, since we've seen that time and again in 9's. The print stains on the front are a bit much, however.

    How the hell did that get a "9"? Forget about the back ... look at the "stain" above his hat! Unreal! (In the top right portion of the card I do not believe that is a stain ... I think it's part of the lighting on top of the pole.)

    That one spot, or whatever it is, it's like the only thing on the card my eyes can focus on. I couldn't buy the card even if I wanted a 69 Mays. I'd drive myself bats looking at it image

    The oil spot above his cap, along with the stained back prevented any bid from the Dude.
    Collecting 64, 66, 67, 70 & 71 Baseball. Cubs, wax, cello & rack baseball.
