FSH: Coin photography lens - Sigma 150 mm 1:2.8 APO macro DG HSM D lens - (SOLD)

SOLD, THANK YOU
FSH: Sigma 150 mm 1:2.8 APO macro DG HSM D lens - $250 shipped
Includes: lens, lens cap, Sigma semi-soft carry bag with strap, hood.
Description:
I purchased this lens used from coin photographer and author Mark Goodman [user: mgoodm3 on PCGS] back in 2007. I used the lens for about a year or two, and since then I've had it packed away securely. When not in use, it was put away in its case and was never dropped or treated roughly. I think this is a great lens for someone getting serious about their coin photography.
When Mark had it, the lens got a smidge too close to a light and there is minor melting damage to a plastic window through which you view the focal length. This is cosmetic and does not affect the movement or function of the lens. As I said, I used it for two years after that happened, and did not have a problem. Mark thought it might be fixed with a little caulk, but I never felt the need to do anything about it. If you find a functional problem with it, I'll be happy to accept a return in the first week, less shipping costs (buyer would be responsible for actual shipping and insurance both ways).
Sold ebay listings for this lens (search: "sigma 150 macro lens D") are between $385 and $598. At the time, I felt like Mark was giving me sort of a deal since I was new to things, and to 'pass it forward,' I'd basically just like to get my cost back out of it.
Photos of the lens are by Mark, from when I bought the lens. It's still in the same condition - I just didn't dig it out to photograph it - but if the buyer is interested, I can do so. Example photos taken with the lens on a Nikon D70 DSLR body are shown below. Coins are not included, obviously.
