psa gold coin for 50,000,000 graded Coin collector question

Guys, sorry if this has already been asked and answered. I got my sub back today and noticed this coin in it. It is a commemorative coin for 50,000,000 items graded. I don't collect coins at all, although, it's always kind of cool to get something for free, so I wanted to know if it had any value ? Could I actually bust it from the case and spend it like 50 cents ? I'm not trying to turn this thing around or anything, but I'm not really interested in coins, so I would hate to give it away, and hear it was worth x amount of money.

Now it also has what seems to be a REAL David Hall autograph on the back, so I could always put it next to my Ted Williams ball, and I'm sure it would be a conversation piece. :-)

Any help would be awesome, if nobody knows, than I could always find somewhere to put it in the basement it I guess.
I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid.

Keep it as is. I'm sure someone will pay more for while it's in the holder.

it's a collectible coin in a now collectible holder.

keep it or sell it on the coin BST or eBay or greatcollections.com or somewhere that does a lot of coins. you'll get bonus money over the value of the coin inside just because of the holder.

    don't crack it open.

Wow, that's an awesome giveaway! Interesting coincidence, I don't collect coins, but the only proof coin that I do own is a 1986 Liberty coin like this one, but it's silver. My dad bought it for me from a mall back in 1986. Good stuff!

Thanks WinPitcher and MsMorrisine for the info. It seems that a couple of people on the coin forum are interested in getting one of the coins. They had a thread going and said an authograph or card guy wouldn't be interested in this and might throw it away. Even had a laugh at my expense, as they found my thread as I commented about cracking it open and spending it like 50 cents. I posted over there that I'm selling it so PM me if you are interested. I'm just going to sell it tomorrow night at 5pm MST to whomever sends me the best offer in my PM box by then. It is a pretty cool collectible, but it just doesn't go well with my Dale Murphy collection, lol.

Neat item, Jeff! Agree with Ms.Morrisine completely, though I have no idea what it would be worth now. The clad coin itself is a $5 coin. I have the $5 gold coin version of this issue in a PCGS PR69DCAM holder.
