This coin was purchased 4/61 for $15 by a former numismatic author and ambassador who died of a heart attack at a coin show (that's his writing on the slab, I haven't been told who this person was, just hints), was graded 10 or 11/1989 PCGS OGH #1 the series directly after the rattlers (note no PCGS on front label) It has been put away since. No auction appearances, no CAC, nothing. The slab itself is in excellent condition and the coin exudes ample luster and good small feather detail, with a die crack going straight across the bison's head. The Obverse does show rather heavy die erosion under the bust and date, with the 2 showing some doubling. These are the best pictures I could manage, sorry, 48 hour notice of return upon receipt or it's yours.
