In which holder do Topps minis look best? Scans provided

Gents

I am closing in on the 2012 Topps Mini set of 31 autographs and am considering having them graded. Marketability is a consideration but, for the near-future, these are for are for my personal collection. I have 3 cards graded by 2 companies and scans are included. Not sure which route to go and I have not seen minis in the SGC holder. I am open to any of the 3 reputable. I have never submitted to Beckett and think I like how they represent better than the PSA holder. While PSA holding my cards for 4 months isn't ideal, it's workable. Also I like how my 1952 Topps look in the SGC holder and have not seen any minis in their holder. Can I get your thoughts?

Thanks

Your pal

This was met with tumbleweeds and cricket chirps when I posted Saturday night so I will try a bump. Any thoughts on what looks best?

I'll go with PSA over BGS. How about a SGC holder? I would think they would look cool in those.

+1, I like the black insert with any white bordered card.

I am partial to the PSA holder... but that may have something to do with the red flip and red highlights of the Gonzalez card?

Like LarkinCollector stated, just about anything with white borders really pop in SGC holders... but you'd likely be leaving some money on the table putting these in SGC slabs if you ever went to sell, plus you'd likely have to spend more money to complete your set in SGC, whereas you could find more already graded in PSA slabs I would imagine.

Don't like the BGS with the condom wrap, though it makes the card more secure, it dulls the cards colors.

The raw one looks the best

    SGC, out of all slabs.
But for something this modern I'd stick with raw.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

  • Hey JR! I'm in the same boat as you are as I close in on finishing my auto. set. I'm leaning toward BGS as I already have a couple slabbed in their holder but I really prefer PSA. Your making me jealous showing off that nice Mattingly I still need!!

I like them way better in the PSA slab. Much cleaner looking.

On a related note, did Don Mattingly turn 90 or something without anyone noticing? His signature looks like it was done while he was sneezing.

I am an avid PSA collector and have about 800 PSA graded cards. That being said for normal size cards I prefer BGS holders, they just seem more sturdy and look more premium. However, the mini seems to pop more in a PSA case and looks way better. Don't know why it appeals to me more in this case, maybe it's that penny sleeve type insert that looks too big or something.

    Appreciate today-
