With minutes left to go, this lot worth maybe $150 tops (below the minimum bid) is now up to $1,200. Absolutely no clue what kind of drugs people are on.

Geez, if these were on eBay they'd be lucky to crack $100 these days.
There's certainly a contingent of different people that only shop via AHs and don't buy on ebay. Some tend to have more moeny and aren't knowledge-based. I once sold a rare pre-war card raw in poor condition on ebay for ~$20 only to see an SGC 10 example sell for ~$300 in a Legendary auction. Some discard it as shilling or shady practice but I think there's a lot of people that just only buy when a catalog comes in the mail and aren't familiar with what the same card sells for on ebay. Perhaps there's a new WP collector in the game now with deep pockets that doesn't use ebay? Not sure.
