You probably a handful of items you are ready to buy. You and Tim need to share your list with me! What's out there that is possibly a good deal for a buyer??
Why did you guys have to point this out? I received the e-mail and had forgotten about it until I saw this thread. I just made my purchase. Don't tell the wife. Please.

I just bought a 1976 Walter Payton RC PSA 9 to replace the one I sold earlier this month. I regretted selling that card moments after agreeing to part with it. Very happy with its replacement and the 10% coming back to me in eBay bucks! Thanks ebay I am trying to stay away from buying anything else to preserve the little PP balance I have remaining. I have been eyeing a PSA 9 Eddie Murray RC but I have to remind myself that I want to wait for one with better T/B centering. Although at a 10% discount I am tempted to live with the centering.
I am the same guy who posted the positive eBay seller thread this morning. Here's another eBay transaction, this time a little less rosy. Before I won the auction on the Payton RC tonight, I actually purchased a 1978 OPC unopened box BIN in the morning. I had been eyeing the box for a while and I noticed the seller had reduced the BIN price by $170 at the same time I saw I had a 10% rebate with eBay bucks for today. I decided this was fate telling me to get that box. So I exercised BIN and I paid and asked the seller to send the box to Steve Hart for authentication (and then I would pay Steve for the authentication and to ship the box to me). After this request I was notified by eBay that the seller had requested to cancel my sale and that I was refunded the money I paid. The seller messaged me and said that after pulling the box from storage a mouse had gotten to the box and eaten a corner off of it and that is why the box was no longer for sale. It seems like quite the coincidence that the discovery of the damage to the box would occur simultaneously to my request for authentication. It all worked out as I am very happy with my Walter Payton RC but it certainly sounds fishy to me. Any thoughts?

Find an item over the qualifying price, open listing and check the 'You'll earn $xx.xx in eBay Bucks.' line. I recall something noting the special offer there as well.
slum....I am not the seller of the OPC Box, and if I was I wouldn't have an issue sending it to Steve, but in the shady seller's defense, as a seller you are only covered if you send it to the Buyer's Paypal address of record.
That, and the 10% back was only for items of $200+, so it is probably a good thing, for 2 reasons, that you did not purchase this box.
Gameusedhoop--I had the address set up in Paypal as an approved address so I am pretty sure the seller would have been covered by PayPal/eBay as long as they delivered the box. It was set up so the BBCE address would have been automatically printed when they printed the shipping label from PayPal. The box was $525 so I got $52.50 back in eBay bucks when I bought the box. The seller sold two of these boxes in Dec at auction for $426 and $427 so I think he got a fair price. Like I said, it is possible it is a coincidence and I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt but if I see the box relisted in the future I think we will have our answer.
^^^ Had I read that correctly the first time ^^^ half of my arguement would have been useless. The fact that you actully have BBCE as a Paypal address astounds me, but it is the way to do it for you and the seller to both be covered. Both of my points were useless, and I applaud your actions.
Depends on the value of the box. It has ranged from $20-35 for the authentication for the boxes I have had him do. Plus you obviously pay for shipping back and forth.
