For the most part, disappointing as I thought I had more 9's from the 1971's, but the one 9 I got it is pretty good. Mercury Morris RC was a POP 1 and is now a POP 2. The other one sold for $1300 last month. Most of these were pulled from raw sets and most will be going back in. The exceptions being the Morris card and the PSA 8 Mean Joe Greene. Both are for sale. Even the 8's in 1971 Football are tough and of some value.

Is that the 1 you thought had a chance at a 9?

Whatever was missed on the 74 OPC Munson must have been difficult to see, because you have eagle eyes.

Has there been an increase in the demand for football cards in recent years? I had a friend who collected them when we were younger. My other friends and I collected baseball cards at the time. I have a feeling that his football cards may now be worth more than my complete set of 1988 Topps Baseball cards.

The Lou Brock coming back a 3 was eye opening too. The issue is definitely not centering on those 2, so I just don't know. I'll look when I pick them up

Did you expect a 3 on the 1974 OPC Winfield, or was that one a disappointment? I have a raw one that looked nice in scans but had surface wrinkling/creasing when I received it so I don't think I'd get higher than a 3 on mine. I've been trying to decide if there is any point in having it graded simply because of the card it is even though it is low-grade.

Congrats on the 1974 OPC #477 NM-MT 8. 8's are always nice from that set!

    The Tatum is nice too

    +1

I don't really collect much football, but that is his rookie or 2nd year correct ? Also, a psa 9. Nice job on that one.
I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid.

Thanks guys, The Tatum is a rookie, as is the Mercury Morris. A couple of the 8's from the 1971 Football and 1974 OPC are ok. It was definitely profitable to grade these thanks to Mercury, but they were harsh on the 1971's as a whole. I thought there were many potential 9's.

Anyone have an interest in the Morris, Tatum, or anything else. Let me know, thanks

I have a good friend, not from these boards, who only collects '70's and '80's Dolphins cards. I'll ask him if he's interested and, if so, we could use my paypal to complete the transaction

Todd, congratulations on hitting paydirt with the Mercury Morris and Jack Tatum. image

Were the 1974 OPC Winfield and Brock pack pulls? Did you expect those grades?
