Vintage League Leaders Cards

Alot of collectors don't like these multi-player cards, but I happen to love them. My Yaz league leaders cards include, among others, Killebrew, Kaline, F.Robinson, Oliva, F.Howard. I own others that have Aaron/Mays/D.Allen, or Clemente & Aaron, or Koufax & Marichal, or W.Ford/Bunning. My son showed me one today that was Bunning/F.Jenkins/G.Perry. I think these are sweet! Anyways, just my 2 cents. Am I alone or does anybody out there agree?

Any unopened Baseball cello and rack packs and boxes from the 1970's and early 1980s.
<< <i>Depends on the year. I like the 1976 ones, but not a fan of the 1978's for example. But for some reason, I actually like the rookie cards with multiple players on them. I always thought they should have this type of rookie card before they got a card of their own. >>
I like the 1976 AL ERA leaders card, since it has Eckersley there, in his rookie card year.
Is there another leader card, where a HOFer appears on it in the same year as his rookie card?

Great card. Added to wish list. 4 of 5 floating heads worked out. Banks looks a little funny.

His head got a buzz as his shoulder was probably in the way. I was never a fan of the floating heads, but it would make a good name for a rock band.

<< <i>That '63 fiver is flippin' sweet! I agree with vintagefun to a certain extent; a Vic Davillo sighting detracts from a card somewhat. But I don't mind if the non HOFers are of the caliber of F.Howard, or Oliva or Denny McLain, for example. Oh and just remembered another nice one: '71 with Gibson, Fergie and Seaver >>
Here you go Dan.

All HOFers
Each 2 HOFers with another all time great. Please ignore price tags and excuse condition
This one is for cpamike. Other classics, of course, are the Ryan, Bench and Fisk/Cooper RCs

.....And that the card predated his mustache!

I always liked the 1970 card of Sparky Lyle on the Red Sox without his mustache as well as Goose Gossage's 1973 White Sox card. They look so young without them.

Shows what a scrub Davalillo was. I own the card and I still got his name wrong!
It's probably overgrazed considering the print defects, but still a nice addition to my Yaz collection

Jerry Koosman once complained that none of his grandkids have his RC card because he shares it with Nolan Ryan – and it costs too much.
Also, what about 1971 Topps #66 league leader card with Bench, Billy Williams, and Perez? Another all HOFer card.
Always looking for Mantle cards such as Stahl Meyer, 1954 Dan Dee, 1959 Bazooka, 1960 Post, 1952 Star Cal Decal, 1952 Tip Top Bread Labels, 1953-54 Briggs Meat, and other Topps, Bowman, and oddball Mantles.
Seaver, Niekro, Jenkins and Marichal

Got that one. All great cards.
I take offense on calling Vic Davillilo a scrub. He was a gold glove winner when it meant something, All-Star, third in the league in batting in'65, one of the top five outfielders from 1963-1967. Oldest player in baseball from 1977-1980.Major league pitcher! Had the top play (according to Baseball Reference) with a fourth inning rbi triple in the 1973 series clincher against Baltimore. Then was intentionally walked by Jim Palmer with two outs and a runner on first in the sixth. A's won 3-0 to go to World Series. Vic went 5-8 in series. In 1977 a 40 year Davalillo with two outs and nobody on against the Phillies Gene Garber and down 5-3, bunts his way on to start a 3 run rally to win the Pennant or the Dodgers. He played pro ball till he was 50. The MVP in Venezuela is named after him as it should be as he was the first player to hit .400 in a season. Brother is named Yo-Yo! Big time drinker as Tommy Lasorda said "I never knew he drank until I saw him sober"
1961 Topps "1960 NL HR Leaders": Banks, Aaron, Mathews, Boyer
1962 Topps "1961 NL HR Leaders": Cepeda, Mays, F.Robinson
1962 Topps "1961 AL HR Leaders": includes Maris' record (STILL the record!) plus Mantle, Killebrew.... and Gentile
Pretty cool ones, though nothing tops the 5 HOFer card earlier in this thread (despite Banks missing part of his face)
