help with pricing

I just got back into sports cards but by being away for so long (1990) i have no idea what a good deal is nowadays. I went to the local collectors show today and guy is offering a couple unopened boxes for sale.

1975/76 hockey for $600
1975 mini baseball for $2500
1993 SP Bowman baseball for $400

Any deals here or should I pass?

thanks for any insight.

Those prices are pretty much in line with the current market. The SP (Upper Deck, by the way) is the best price of the three. Be very careful with vintage unopened wax that has not been looked at by a specialist. The SP box should have UD wrapping.

No problem. Welcome back to the hobby. I'm not much of a hockey collector, so someone else may wish to weigh in on that one. I personally think the SP boxes are headed up, with all the hoopla around Jeter's retirement.
