Harpooned 3 Vintage "White Whales"! Football Lovers!

I've been looking for these 3 items (at a price I could stomach) for YEARS!

All 3 now have a new place of honor in my Hall of Fame.

The first is a 1943 Redskins season ticket book. While tickets from the 40's are
somewhat hard to come by, the books rarely if ever come up for sale.

The second is a 1942 N.F.L. Championship stub. These come up every now and then but they
go for some decent money. I was lucky enough to find this as part of a program and ticket
lot. Was just mentioned as part of "3 1942 ticket stubs"! I couldn't believe my luck when the
package arrived.

Last but not least is a "Slinging" Sammy Baugh (Sunfreeze) Dixie Cup Lid.
I have been looking for this west coast variety for about 10 years.
I now have Dairylea, Meadow Gold, Reid's, Borden's and Dixie backs.
If anyone has a Deluxe or Rob Roy Dairy back I would be very interested.

I haven't been on or posted in awhile so I just thought I would share.

Hope everyone is doing well and surviving this crazy winter we are having.

Cool items. My Dad was a 'Skins fan from the early 40's until his death in '86. Really like the Baugh image

BTW, I meant to ask if there were any tickets in the book ?

I have seen PSA mis-label some tickets from the 40'-50's as stubs because they had the perforation from the season ticket book at the end of the ticket. I guess they thought that is where the ticket was torn at the stadium, when it was where the actual season ticket was removed from the season ticket holders ticket book.

    Thanks for the kind replies.

hyperchipper09 - Great to hear your Dad was such a loyal 'Skins fan!

tennesseebanker - I know exactly what you mean about the way some tickets/stubs are shown on
the PSA holder. Sometimes it may be the person sending them in that states they are
a stub on their submission details. I have seen full season books with and without
perforation marks on the full tickets. I even know of a genuine 1937 Redskins Season
Book (unfortunately not mine) that has a staple holding the tickets in the book.

By the way I love looking at some of the cool tickets you come up with. I only collect
Redskins stuff now so I am slowly trading/selling off my non Redskins tickets. If you
happen to have any Redskins extras please keep me in mind.

    Thanks Craig,

I sent you a PM about some skins tickets on E-bay. What specifically do you have to sell/trade ?
