Proof Jefferson, guess the date

I doubt anyone will get this on the first guess because I can't tell the difference between reverses. But perhaps there is a proof Jefferson collector who knows the dies well enough to tell? Anyway I will post the obverse later today. Oh and why not try guessing the grade also?

  • My guess is 1950. And the grade, PF66. Have to see the obverse to guess a Cameo designation.

I'm not even going to try and guess the date, but if the cameo is as nice as the back, I would guess PR67 DCAM.

  • My guess is 1942 PF67 Cameo reverse.

1939 Reverse of 1940. PR66 maybe, cameo depending on what the obverse looks like.image

    Looks like a 1938 PF66
  • Thanks for the guesses! I thought it was going to be hard, then when MJCoin guessed the date right away I thought everybody must know something I didn't. Then I was relieved to see other guesses image

Here is the obverse. This Jeff has a similiar amount of cameo as my 50s DCAMs so I'm hoping for a DCAM. The reverse is clearly frostier than at least one of my DCAMs. It is now in a NGC 67 Cam holder but has twice the frost of any NGC cam I've ever seen. I imagine I should crack it out...
  • How did I know? I have a raw 1950 PF Jefferson that looks to have been struck by the same reverse die, although my coins' obverse is nowhere as frosted as yours. Nice coin Carl.
