I actually feel a little bad for this guy...huge miscalculation on grading!

Over $500 in grading fees alone for cards that won't even sell for a buck, in most cases. In this case, grading certainly doesn't add to the value. Some of the "higher' graded cards have qualifiers! My favorite might be the Tommy Casanova '73 PSA 4 MC!

    In his description he says the cards were from his childhood. It's possible he had them graded for sentimental reasons and now just wants to
    let them go.

    But why go to the trouble and expense of getting them encased? He could have put them in screwdowns for 90% of the cost and hassle. I have some sentimental cards in my collection and they look great in a toploader!

    I had some people bring a few PSA graded cards into the shop one day and they were all graded cards from the early 90's, grading either an 8 or 9, like a Bagwell RC or something similar and they thought they were worth a fortune because they were graded.

    mtcards...that is what I really got out of this listing...grading hype...its like any other "investment" do your research first and know what you are really getting and what you really have.

    I call it the "PSA tax." It's totally voluntary, but some folks seem to feel obligated to pay it.
