It's kind of fitting that Bob Feller is known for signing so many baseballs, since he was first signed by the Indians for one dollar and an autographed baseball.
Thanks all, there's one exactly like this in a lot of cards on eBay starting a 99 cents. Also contains a Brooks Robinson auto, no mention of either anywhere in the listing and no bids yet. Happy hunting!
I've heard he was an awesome guy too. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but everyone that I know who has says that he was as friendly as they come.
He would be in Winter Haven, Florida the whole month of March each year for Spring Training and wearing an Indians uniform. Bob threw out the first pitch for home games, signed autographs for a nominal fee ($5-10) which would include an 8 x 10, and taking pictures with fans. Nice legible signature unlike many of the young fellows out there today. He had an opinion for many things and was not afraid to discuss them. An affable guy, who I believe had the best interest of the game in his heart.
A board member here (GKreindler), who also happens to be an incredible artist, shared these photos of Bob Feller in his Baseball Artwork thread... thought they were worth sharing in this thread:

Many admirable qualities from this HOF-clear auto., approachable, fair auto. price. He served his country quite well too while in the service. There are some lessons to be learned here.

A fake Feller would be rare.
<< <i>One thing more rare than a baseball autographed by Bob Feller is a baseball NOT autographed by Bob Feller. >>
The same could probably be said of Pete Rose as well. Finding one not signed by either is truly a rare ball.
"Hey, I got a fresh baseball here....and it's NOT signed by Bob Feller!"
Seriously, as plentiful as late 1980's wax.....at least one for every living American...
Used to working on HOF SS Baseballs--Now just '67 Sox Stickers and anything Boston related.
