What is the sweet spot for PSA graded 1976 Topps Star Trek cards?

Hello, everybody --
I've been thinking about going after a set of PSA graded 1976 Topps Star Trek cards. 7s and 8s seem to be around for fairly cheap prices on eBay, while 9s and 10s seem much less available. (I could be totally wrong, I only did a very brief search. Heck, I just realized I haven't even checked the pop report!)
I was wondering what other collectors considered the sweet spot for these cards. 9s? 10s? Is there very little demand for 8s and lower?
I've noticed a few sealed packs around. Do collectors chasing this set buy/rip the packs and submit themselves?
I know, I know, lots of noob questions. Any insight would be appreciated!

I guess you're right!
There are some 9s up for auction on eBay right now...I'll be watching them to see what they finally go for.
