Another beef I have with Topps

I was looking at this card and I can't help but think, how can a short print card, in this case only 55 made, be made so off center?? You would think since they are only making 55 of them, they could at least make them all centered. C'mon Topps, get your act together !!! Nevermind the ridiculous asking price....

Sorry, just venting....

These cards for the most part are printed in far reaching places in the world. Some in Texas, some in China. Topps has a small code on every card that tells where it was printed. I can tell you where it WASN'T printed....in NY. The first time topps saw that card was the first time someone pulled it from a pack. Centering is a none issue for them. The product has already been paid
    for at that point.

If one has a perfect example card in a low run printing, one of these 55 for example, and there exists many o/c, it can only help in its asking price when it comes time to sell. In this instance lack of quality control can be your friend. That said, it is hard to understand that with all the advanced technology that exists today-laser cutting, precise measuring capabilities, etc., that perfect card cutting cannot be achieved if one really wanted to.

I have a similar Hank Aaron Auto 1 of 10 from the Archives set that appears to be off center. I thought the same thing. If you are only making 10, couldn't you take extra care of them.
