A tough team set in high grade. '73 Topps Cincinnati Reds.

I'm not sure I've ever run across a year where several cards of a certain team are consistently tougher in high grade. The '73 Reds fit that bill. While not all of them are tough, many are tough & others are semi tough including many stars. Perez, Morgan & Concepcion aren't easy, and while Bench & Rose aren't particularly hard cards, the majority have centering issues. Others include Sparky, Hague, Carroll, Nolan & the team card. Adds a little fun & challenge to collecting 73's.

Couldn't agree more on the first 5 cards you mentioned. Sneaky tough.

    Yep. I agree.

The 1971 Topps Montreal Expos fit that description as well.

Wegener, Reed, Sutherland, Wine, Marshall, and of course Claude Raymond.
From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

since you mentioned it.....i picked up this card for a few bucks because i liked the centering.....it may also possibly be the rare Bobby Tolan Green Doughnut On Neck variation, but i've yet to see it cataloged.

I agree on all 5 cards you listed. I had a really hard time to come up with a Joe Morgan with good centering.
I still need a nice Bench.

The OPC version is also very difficult on Perez, Morgan, Rose...
