I guess PCGS just forgot to add "DCAM" to the label!! And, oh yeah, they wrote "MS" instead of "PR", but I guess that's understandiable since this must be the only proof coin of 1966.
I sent a quick email to the seller a couple of days ago pointing out that a DCAM designation would multiply the value by about 100 or more based on the PCGS price guide). But got no response nor any addendum to the listing.
i searched "PCGS SMS" and went to the coin with high hopes!! what a scammin' letdown.but i guess if eBay kicked all these bozos off they'd just lose too much moolah.
Do you know that there is no such thing as a 1966 SMS PR68Dcam Washington quarter? There is no DCAM designation on the holder which would multiply this coins worth by 100 fold. I suggest that you change your listing before someone turns you in to safe harbor!
As Cosmic says it is still a 68. Pop 14 none higher. There are 3 in DCAM, 2 67s and 1 68, though this one has no cameo. Numbers from the April pop report.
Had the following e-mail waitin' for me this morning:
"Did you ever make a mistake in your life? Oh no - your perfect."
Funny that he was able to get the cert. # correct. He did add "This is a PCGS MS68 - SMS! It is NOT a PCGS PR68DCAM - SMS! Sorry About the Mistake." to the listing.
Go get it, Bill. I had it in my snipers sight, but will "unload"! The scan looks like the coin may have some cameo to it. Maybe that put it into the seller's mind! Good Luck!
Bill, I did not know you wanted it so bad. Almost sorry I out bid you(key word almost). Will let you know if you really missed something or if it is just another average 68.

I don't think that you are missing anything, Keets.
The coin, slab, and seller might be though!
