Current market price for 1975 FB cello box?

Was wondering what some thought is a good buy price these days on a clean 75 FB cello box with solid provenance?

Bob.

I'd be interested to know the answer to this, as well.

As a benchmark, you can buy them out of Larry Fritsch's catalog for $1800. So that would be the benchmark in my opinion.

Until you call them. Then it's either, "We don't have any more," or "That price is no longer valid, sorry..."

They can't do anything if it is actually true. I had heard about Fritsch pulling that with other people and almost laughed when I inquired about a 1979 Topps Baseball Rack Box last year. First, it was "let me go check" and then "oh, we don't have anymore just a few loose racks.". Pretty interesting as I called the day his catalog came in the mail. At least I was prepared for the response.

Thanks guys. Looks like I just overpaid a little, but it's only money and I always liked the 75's.

I called them in the Summer when I saw they had 1989 Bowman Tiffany sets in their Catalog for $220 each. I asked how many they had, and they wouldn't tell me. He just said they have them without giving a quantity. I just wanted to make sure they had a couple in stock before I placed my order.

So I placed my order for 2 sets with their 20% off coupon code. Paid $368.87 delivered for 2 sets. A few days later they refunded, saying it was out of stock. Now they have them back in their catalog for around $330 a set.
