Does BBC Exchange "authenticate" packs that they don't buy or sell?

Here is my question, and my logic. PSA will not grade "Tall Boy" packs, of which I have several. I want them authenticated and "slabbed" to assure any potential buyer of their authenticity. I know that BBC will shrink wrap packs and boxes they sell with their personalized wrapping. Since they would do this with any packs they buy from me (or anyone) before they resell them, would they be willing to do this for a fee and allow me to keep them? If not, theoretically, I could sell them the packs and agree to purchase them right back, which seems to be a silly exercise. Any help with this would be appreciated!

I know they offer this service for boxes. Maybe call Steve or send him an email asking about packs.
  • And please post the prices if you find out! Someone posted a number of bbce wrapped boxes on here a while ago and was asked how much Steve charged but I don't recall the answer being posted. I'm extremely interested in having some boxes wrapped and I'm sure a number of other forum members are too.

I know Steve will shrinkwrap boxes and racks for a fee but I would think that he would not do so for packs sent in because of his affiliation with PSA.

    Grote,
Believe me, if PSA graded Tall Boy wax packs I would have long ago sent these in. I guess it is not financially in their best interests to create a holder to encapsulate such a small segment of the wax pack market. But I sure wish they would.

Just email Steve directly, he responds in a very timely manner
I know the wax box authentication prices vary on issue, he can provide the specifics
A great service IMO. Good luck

Greg, I would think that Steve could authenticate your tall boy packs as PSA doesn't grade them, but as everyone else has said I would contact Steve directly as he is very responsive. Good luck!!

<< <i>No offense but why ask here when you can just call Steve & ask? >>

This applies to many questions on the board. Directly asking questions to E-bay customer service, BBCE, PSA Customer Service, and the various auction houses, would sometimes be more efficient for any OP than asking questions on the board. But we would all miss out on the answers and these questions generate discussion.

To anyone who is interested enough to choose to read this clearly titled thread, I hope the answer is posted once it's discovered. I suspect he will do it since PSA has been pretty clear they won't be doing it any time soon. He wraps up rack packs and I don't know why this is different.
