Some odds and ends here.

Bought an '82 topps set for 30 bucks -- thought there was some 10 potential --- but all were about a grade less than I had hoped.

One pack of mini's did OK, as did a raw ebay Brett.

Bought a box of 1975 hockey vending from BBCE that I had been eyeballing for a while (thanks to bunt's break - which pushed me to pull the trigger).

Are all of those 75 mini's from the same pack ? If so, that was a helluva pack. I had one pack from the break and got nice cards, but only one was gradeable. An 8 on a brett rookie is always nice, that card seems to be pushing around 200 now, and the hockey looks solid. I think you did pretty well, but of course I didn't see your 82s pre sub, maybe they were undergraded.

Yes -- the minis were all one pack. I thought the Yount would be 9 oc, but looks like the grader went another route.

My gut on the 82's was that they weren't vibrant/glossy enough for 10's. Centering, corners, edges were all dynamite. Thought I'd get one or two 10's to make the grading worthwhile.

Any condition Yount from a 1975 pack makes it a good rip for sure, and congrats on the 10's in the hockey pop too!

Still scratching my head about the 82's, which were about the same as the '75 hockey, but got a gift on Brett, so I guess it evens out.

One of the North Stars is a Pop 1, but there isn't much $ return on these. Not one of Topps' more inspired issues.

Anyway, here are the better cards...

That Rickey is nice. It got me too, I subbed one a while back that I thought for sure was a 10, and it came back a 9. The Dryden card is really nice too. Congrats on the Hockey 10's.
