I finally got a scanner

I finally got a scanner, a refurb Epson V37. Did a bit of research on this forum and that seemed to be a good choice. I haven't fiddled with settings yet, so I'm wondering what you think of these scans. All I did was crop and resize the pics. From what I've read on here, people seem to advocate either leaving the scanner lid open or put a piece of black paper (such as construction paper) behind the cards. All I could find in a pinch was an old, dark blue bag, so that is why there is a blue background. It does work well with the Bowman cards, since those have black borders to begin with, but perhaps not so well with the Fred Taylor card since that has dark blue on the top and bottom borders.

Scans look nice! I usually just keep the lid open on my V300.

Thanks. I will have to try scanning with the lid open again. When I did the first few scans, I tried that but they didn't look right. However, I was using the default mode and have since been using a mode called "home" or something like that.
