Selling this for a friend.
A pop one coin, finest known, and one of the few older specimens graded 69 by PCGS. Truly a tough coin. PCGS has graded a total 25 Specimen 1956B one Franc's. There are thirteen 67's and four 68's, plus this single 69. Within the series there are only three other 69's graded between 1851 and 1967; all others are dated 1937.
The coin itself is a pristine example. There are heavy die polish lines visible in the light but absolutely no marks, a few very minor hairlines and no other imperfections. The strike is full and strong and the cameo contrast is intense. A gorgeous coin.
Asking $2000 or best offer. Once this is sold it can be a long time before you have the chance to buy another near-perfect Swiss coin from the 1950's.
Please note that the coin is located in Europe. Shipping arrangements can be made.
