    Best of luck Arthur!
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Thanks guys! No big stash with these, just a handful of boxes.

    Here's the first 1/4:

1/2 through the box. I swear, I've pulled at least two of every Yankees player except Mattingly. Centering sucks on these too.

Looks like you have many diamond cut cards.

I cracked a case of this the other day and think I may have lucked out on a good case.
Overall the centering was not bad at all. The only problem I had with my boxes, almost every Pete Rose had
a hairline crease. I have some perfectly centered Rose and they are all creased!

24 boxes and I did get 25 Mattingly's though image

Yeah, I'm scanning with the lid up so I'm sure a lot of cards have a weird look, but you're right, there have been a lot of diamond cut cards. The Ripken looked nice but one of the corners is dinged.

No Mattinglys but had some fun. On the bright side, there's room for one more box in my closet. So I have that going for me, which is nice.

Better than the 87 box, no??
  • Cool lookin' cards - 84's are nice - and to think 20 years ago nobody even was on the lookout or even paid much attention to the centering - game over on that for Anything being opened now

Hmm... hadn't even though of it that way. I suppose the cards are technically more valuable than the 87's but I had much more fun opening the 87 box. That was the first year I really went bananas buying baseball cards so the set will always hold a special place for me. I have very fond memories of pulling all the gold cup cards and cards like the Will Clark and Jose Canseco as a kid.

I just meant in terms of centering.

Tough to tell. The 84s seemed centered better but they also had a lot of tilts and diamond cuts. I would say the 87s floor was lower than the 84s but their ceiling was also higher, if that makes sense.
