EBay FINALLY gets something done right!! Did anyone else notice this??

Now, under your items sold, you can now see the full name of the buyer who purchased from you. Right there in black and white. I know, you could always see it before with a little legwork (click on paypal transaction, yadda yadda), but now there it is RIGHT THERE. Plain and simple. I don't know why I like this so much, but I do. Like Leon Luckey says over on Net54, full transparency!! You can say whatever you want, as long as your name is right there, instead of some nameless alt. Anyway, that is all....

  • but as a buyer you could change your name everyday on your account what does that show ? I mean there is no verification system for buyers

I don't think it is that easy to change it. Just a hunch.
  • Wow. This is an earth-shaking development. Back in the old days sellers would have to look in Paypal to see who the buyer was. That would take up to 15 seconds! Thanks Ebay! What will I now do will all this extra time?

Why is it different from View Order Details tab in the same section you find this? That's what I've always used instead of going through the Paypal link. And if we are talking about verifying the Ebay account holders name with the Paypal account holders name as mentioned it takes a minute to change that anyways. I don't get the benefit of this change?

Right there in the open without having to make yourself work for it. No pressing 1 for English, et al........right there in the open without extra clicks and time consuming hunting.

It may only save 15 seconds which for me would be irrelevant. However for those who sell hundreds or thousands of items the time saved could be used to thoughtfully discuss other important matters.

But it literally saves one click right?

The name is now in the same area that has the "show order details" link, so before it was clicking that one already visible link (which also shows their address) to see the name, now the name is visible without doing that?

Maybe I just had my homepage set up differently than others so the change isn't as dramatic.

Many European buy/sell sites do this as a standard on every page of a transaction.
