Has anyone tried to have bottlecaps graded?

Does PSA grade the Coke, Sprite, Tab etc. bottle caps from the 1960's with the baseball and football players on the bottom?

Since they grade coins and pin back buttons, I don't see why they wouldn't.

Has any one asked?

I emailed PSA and asked. I will post what they say when they let me know.

I am going to assume no, as they don't seem to have a holder that will work.

Ha ha good one!

I have a few unused bottle caps that look like they would almost fit in a holder similar to the little pin-back buttons they grade from 1969 and it doesn't look too much thicker than the Topps "coins" that are graded.

Any one have an opinion on this?

Coca-Cola and Baseball? Sounds like a good combination!

I thought they were made in 1967-68.

I looked in the pop report, couldn't find anything graded.

This thread brought back this memory. I don't recall the sport related bottle caps, but I do remember around 62/63 Coke had a promotion with scenes of the world bottle caps. You had to fill up a card of, if I correctly remember, 100 diff. scened bottle caps on a card. Your reward was a case (4, 6 packs of Coke). I remember filling up 7 full sheets through the promotion. We would go around to all the 10 cent soda machines and with a magnet on the end of a string we would drop it down in the bottle cap remover catcher bin and pull out all the bottle caps. All the local grocery stores,supermarkets had these machines out front. We drove everyone crazy pestering them to save the bottlecaps for us.

Joe - you can't look in the Pop report for these - you need to look in the Soda Pop report for bottlecaps (well I think it's funny )
