Real or Repo - 1935 Nagurski Chicle??

A friend of mine purchased this recently. Can you guys help me determine if it's real or a repo??

I don't know enough about the issue to make a determination on if it is original, but that seems like an awful lot of wear. It's worn to the point that it looks like it may have been done on purpose to try to hide something. Just my 2 cents. I'm sure others will chime in.

Absolutely a reproduction/reprint that has been worked to look aged. The regular Chicle stock would never exhibit the "cracks" that the image shown presents. That is the result of newer stock and a finish rather than the inking directly on the cardboard stock like Chicle and other cards from that era.
