<< <i>Released on the heels of the popular 1989 Score football, I remember 1990 Score Baseball being perceived as "scarce" for the times >>
The good-ole pre-internet days.
The local market for kids was dictated by the local card shops and the gas stations.
I remember 1990 Score going for $1.25 a pack at one point, which was Upper Deck money.
Once I pulled the BO card while at a card shop, and the owner pulled out his Polaroid camera, snapped a pic, and pinned it up on the shop's "Wall of Fame," along with everyone else who pulled a key card from a pack opened at the shop.

<< <i>At one point, I remember some dealer was referring to 1990 Score as "the 1984 Donruss of the 1990's" >>
Shouldn't they have waited oh, I don't know, for the 90s to be almost over before making that call? The 1992 Bowman set or 1993 Finest regular set (refractors are way too far out of most people's budgets) would be the two contenders for that title.

1991 and 1994 are my personal favorite years in terms of design. For 1994 I got both regular and Gold Rush sets (really awesome looking set)...though maybe someone here could help little ol' me with the other 1994 Score insert sets if they got some lying around looking for a good home?

Morning after regrets? Might have to start calling you 'Mo'
<< <i>heh - Yep. My message board skills are severely lacking - need to find a course on how to be a pro Don't know who Mo is but you can call me Mom if that would work >>
The morning forum check used to have a lot of blank posts from Maurice that he'd posted the night before and removed by morning.

My 1990 Score 8 box case would kick all your cases' asses
Geez - when will this thread go away - gotta open though - no matter how snoozefest it has become:
Boxes 6 and 7 highlights will be posted below (gag) Then one day soon - the unfortunate #8 box will go down - badly. The only thing worse than bustin' all this would be a 1986 Topps Baseball vending box case where all cards are reverse and upside down.
Box 8 will experience possibly the most horrific activity ever some day soon.
