Question/Help - Joe Montana autographed Riddell Helmet

A friend of mine asked that I investigate this helmet and what it may be worth he would like to sell it but doesnt want to give it anyway. This is an official full size Riddell helmet autographed by Joe, with a certificate of authenticity from Field of Dreams with the official stamp (kind of like when you get something notarized). I looked on eBay only found one that sold for $299, certified but not by the same company. My question is eBay a good indication of the going rate? Does the certification house make any difference? Any other sites I may try to look at for reference? thanks for your help Craig

I'd say in the $275 range. It's worth more if it has an inscription or he signed his full name.

I looked in the Heritage archives and found one from May 2011 that was full-sized and authenticated by Upper Deck, sold for $478 (I think you have to register for free and sign-in to see prices realized):

Joe Montana autographs are common. He is asking $195 for graph at an upcoming show.He is a regular on the show circuit.

F of D is good to go. These were sold in the Mall of America in MN in the 1990s. He did several live signings there (I know, I got some stuff signed when I was like age 14 or 15). It would more than likely pass PSA. Value < $300 IMO.
