Would you buy?

I was talking with someone the other day at our local card shop about jumbo boxes vs. regular hobby and shared that, in my opinion, I wished that Topps would do all of their low end modern stuff in jumbo instead of having hobby and jumbo. First of all, again all in my opinion, the return you get for paying a bit more for the jumbo is well worth it. You get more cards and you get more hits.

After the break I was a part of the other night, it was kind of disappointing, at least to me, to only have one hit per hobby box.

What do you think? Would you buy more of the low end modern if it was all jumbo even if you had to pay a bit more?

I like the idea that a jumbo box puts you pretty much at a complete series. As a set builder, I like that idea.

Love that. Just this afternoon I broke a 2014 jumbo and put together the whole set except for #7. Then I looked and realized that there isn't a #7, so the jumbo gave me the entire set, 1-331.
  • In keeping with the theme of the original post, after today's jumbo box, I am very tempted to spend $550 to get a case of these things. Very pleased with the results.
  • I think if they did away with hobby boxes and had only jumbo boxes, people would be bored and want more and Topps would start putting out super hobby boxes with more hits than ever.
