Quick quiz.....when selling a Morgan online....

What advantage does a PCGS holder have over an NGC?

I will add a few clues, as needed.

  • PCGS holders are easier to photograph. Atleast from personal experience.

19 posts a day divided by 3 forums (coin, sports, precious metals) about 6 per forum per day. 5 hour energy helps. image

    what else?

I can spot many fake pcgs holders.

pcgs puts "morgan" on the 1878 and 1921 varieties' labels? Did I win a kewpie doll?

Shipping cost. NGC holders are a bit heavier, and with Morgans, increase my weight to 4 ounces from 3 or about 20 cents added cost per coin.

Just watch this thread and then multiply by a few a day and you will get your answer image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    Serious? Yep.

Does not stop me from buying and selling NGC coins, but it does incur a bit of extra cost on low margin common dates.

So, just crack them out and do it raw. Save yourself even more money on those low margin common dates that have you worried image

Could probably super glue the postage on them and only pay 49 cents. image

do you use metered mail and get an additional ounce discount of 1 cent? Extra ounces are 21 cents for the sticker-stamp crowd.

Just checked my cost when printed on Ebay. Spread between 3 and 4 ounces dropped to 8c from 17c with the new rates.

Must be some NGC fans at the USPS.
  • Oh, just overcharge for shipping! Everyone else does. image
Let's try not to get upset.
